clientCharles Hanson, Owner

Our client bought Bishton Hall in 2019 because, quite simply, he fell in love with it. Since then, he and his team have been putting the site back into the public domain following sixty years as St Bede’s RC boarding school.

We have been commissioned to support Charles Hanson, local auctioneer and a well-known face from the BBC’s Antiques Road Trip and Bargain Hunt, to ensure the care of this Grade 2* Listed building and its historic gardens.

The historic stables and courtyard are now home to a bustling retail centre and café and visitors can also explore the amazing gardens which include many Listed features such as the Doric Temple, Parterre and Orangery.

Our Heritage Statement for Bishton Hall is essential to applications for Listed Building Consent, as well as in furthering the overall understanding of the condition of the historic fabric. This will ultimately influence its conservation for the future.
